This is essentaly two mods rolled into one. Firstly it adds a non-playable race known as "Ailen" that came from Armada 1, that is very useful for elements like the Omega Particle and for space living creatures like Armada 1's Species 9341.

The next part is the Omega Particle & the Containment vessels. the vessels are included for all races even Species 8472.

Alot of this is converted from Armada 1, but its a nice job nevertheless, and its worth a look at Wink


Hello everybody:
I am Chiletrek and this mod is for the game Star Trek: Armada2. This pack includes a non-playable race known as "alien" that is originally from Armada1 that is very useful for elements like the Omega Particle and for space living creatures like Armada 1's Species 9341 (If you have the mod for A2, you can change the race in the odf from: race = "species8472" to race = "alien" and will be accesible in the same way!)(you can even build Galor classes in the Fed's Yard ^_^)).

The second part is the Omega Particle & the Containment vessels (all of them from Armada1), the vessels are included for all races even Species 8472.

It is highly recommended that you install the alien race BEFORE the Omega Particle to avoid errors in-game.

If you want to uninstall this pack, just erase the added material and restaure the original files from your backups!. More explanations are in the individual Readmes in every folder.

-- Latest News:
1) I added a long-range phaser for the Venator-class from the manual. Put the file rb2phas.odf in the \odf\weapons\Phasers folder.

2) I fix the plasma bank for the Cardassian Keldon class, now is a torpedo more powerful than the Galor's torpedo (from the manual). Put the file cplaso.odf in the \odf\weapons\Photons folder.

3) The Defiant class destroyer has now a short-range phaser (canon weapon, I mean is not in the manual but appears in Star Trek DS9). Put the files defiphas.odf & defiphaso.odf in the \odf\weapons\Phasers folder.

The files: fdestroy.odf (now with ablative armor <- a bit more health & the same shield power) & fincursion.odf (USS Incursion now with Quantum torpedoes and the defi short-range phaser) in the \odf\ships folder and voilà, you are ready! --

can the containment ship defend its self?(unlike in a1)

Hello:

Thanks for your interest in my mod. The containment vessels has no weapons (like in Armada1), and I was planing to change the explosion of Omega Particle so you can put traps in your enemy base by made it explode!!!!!.

You know...any suggestion or ideas is always apreciated. But we could change some of the odf to put some defensive weaponry (thanks for the idea).

I can do that but the goals are the enemy base!!
