Future Tense 4 Minute Opening Teaser

"Wow".

Now, onto the review for this Armada2Files/AFC exclusive! This is the first 4 minutes (of about 13) from the opening video to Future Tense. It encapsulates the feel of the mod precisely, with new ships...heck, new everything. I think the best word to describe it would be "harrowing". It does however show off some of the models and the abilities of those involved in the project (as demonstrated with scenes that you'd expect only from Bridge Commander or Elite Force). Combined, this makes for a nice May-gift from the mod team. Sure, it isn't the mod, which we'd all love to see, especially with recent news of a fully functioning MVAM, but it DOES quench our thirst yet again for the mod.

Of course, if you're still reading up to this point it means you're still downloading. So, for you guys, the video displays the setting for the mod and what would appear to be the main protagonists in one fair swoop. The Sernaix, a fan-made enemy, appear and certainly leave an impression, causing un-mitigated destruction almost immediately. Of course, that is the point where the credits jump in and you moan that it's only 4 minutes long and not the mod. Ah well, we'll wait for that!

Well thats four minutes of my life that I'm never going to get back. The whole vidio was wasted on credits.

Guys there is a future tense trailer on youtube.. obviously it's against the rules to provide any external links but search for Future Tense Trailer in the search bar on youtube and it will come up.. This one is about 1:50 minutes.... now I have to go and download the avi codec for Windows Media Player..... and see the 4 mintue version... ... IT LOOKS TOO SWEET TO BELIEVE.. especially the way the Intrepid changes into the Armoured version....wow

Future Tense all the way. We love you Adam!!! The sooner it comes out the better, but with good things takes much time. I think we'll see a release of a great mod.

Ok it looks great, loved the film.


But how did the warp core suddenly go 'boom'. We didn't even see weapon impacts or anything. Well I guess I'll jus assume they hit and caused serious damage. ¬¬


Reminds me of the Vorlons from B5 with the flashy blue stuff. Lol

Well as far as the video goes it is CGI but all the models are the ingame models and the Sernaix torpedos are supposed to be able to phase through the hull of a ship and then explode so there wouldn't be an impact it would just explode in the warpcore blowing up the ship.

It is probably a video codec problem on your end. Try downloading a DIVX codec and it should play, if not or you can't find a free download then just get vlc media player. Which is a program with all the codecs build in and is open source I believe. To find it just search for "vlc" it on google. Also the fact you couldn't turn off caps lock (probably did aready seeeing as this is a week later) is I think probably because of sticky keys, and I don't mean a dirty keyborad but the windows program. The only way I've gotten to turn off is to restart, you may however if you have it again which is turned on by pushing or hold down Shift 5 times or 5 seconds is to go into Accessibility Options in control panel and unchecking "use sticky keys", this may not work though. Also go into Settings and uncheck "use shortcut" also to keep from turning them on unintentionly.

Please finish this mod as soon as you can! It's been so long that if it's posponed another month i'm gonna pull my hair out! btw, the vid was awesome, and so was the music. Where did you get the music?

Like the title says im not askin for a release date its just here i am one year later and i just found out about this mod ofter what 6yrs of R&D in the FT staff'c case and i just wanted to know...... is this out yet


also i read somewhere (AFC, maybe ) that a FT II is being worked on and a FTIII is being considered. Is this true or was this just a rumor. Please and thxs
