The Temporal Starbase uses the basic odf file of the Temporal research facility. The size is much bigger (than even a starbase)
Has 16 weapons systems
Has cloak
Has ENGINES
And best of all still has the TEMPORAL STASIS FIELD

In all honesty this is my first mod, so I hope you all enjoy it. It is a bit over powered for standard game play but it does make things a bit funner.


Temporal Starbase Readme File

I promise this is a very easy file to use, and is made for demo version.

Instructions:

copy and paste the following files

fsuperbl.odf to odf/stations (yes, overwrite file)

fbpulse.odf to odf/weapons/pulse (yes, overwrite file)

fbpulseo.odf to odf/weapons/pulse (again, overwrite)

Open techtree file, then demotech (In full version I think this is called tech1)

scroll down till you see "Federation Special weapons"
go to end of that list

add in:
grcloak.odf 0 // cloaking device


the following is optional:
when I did this for myself I wanted the Temporal starbase as soon as possible
so I made it need nothing before build.
to do this:

open techtree file, then demotech
scoll to "Federation Stations"
search for "fsuperbl" it should say "2" then some station names.
Change "2" to "0" and erase station names on the same line.
Construct ships will then build the temporal starbase at beginning of game

that's true major payne.... the only problem is I can't figure out how to open the textures files or anything related to it.... is there a software i'm supposed to use for that?

Textures are opened with any program that can open TGA based image files. You'll need something like Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop or I think Gimp opens them as well.

How would you get an AI to build this? Or any other mod for that matter?

Well Ryan I couldn't get the AI to build it either, so i went into odf file/other and clicked on "fed" scroll down to the list showing starting ships and stations. I just replaced the starbase with the temporal but you can add it to that list too and anytime either you or the AI start a game as federation that station will be there.

It takes 2-3 tactical fusion cubes to destroy a temporal starbase... ;D

Just to let everyone know, GIMP is an ideal free solution to modding textures,it supports .TGA files and is as feature packed as paintshop pro.. Layers work really well within it, and it was far easier for me to get to grips with.

I tried GIMP actually and I couldn't make heads or tails of it honestly, so if someone wants to make a new model for this and send it to me they can.
