This is one of two versions of Greathor's take on the Achilles class that is based on a Milky Way version of the vessel (as opposed to one sent to Pegasus). I would do a full scale comparison between this version and Cylon's, but the designs to seem slightly different, so I'm guessing it's just a popular class name chosen.

Anyhow, this ship sports some rather nice textures which I believe to be better than the Atlantis/Pegasus version, but that is open for debate. Regardless, they are nice and do make it look good, the armour effect in particular. It does however lack that of a buildbutton, wireframe and admiral's pic, which I do take to be a shame as it's those nice little touches which really give a mod it's fullness.

Still, a dreadnaught is a dreadnaught and except this to "kick some serious ass". Failing that, it just does look good to stare at for a bit. Download now any Stargate fans!

Place the textures into the textures/RGB
Place the odf in odf/ships
Place the SOD in SOD


For whichever ship you downloaded, add the respectable line of code into fyard2.odf
under buildItems

Het i got the ship to build but it wont move out of the yard any ideas why??

Open the odf file and remove the following.

Nicely done Greathor, your doing a good job with all these models lately. Keep it up mate.


The fact that it doesn't have a buildbutton, wireframe or admiral log pic is of little concern in my opinion as they are so simple to make.

Make sure you added it to a shipyard with no typo errors as well to the techtrees.

Go into the file fulltech.tt, add the line


achillessg1.odf 0


then go into tech1.tt and add the line


achillessg1.odf 2 fyard2.odf fupgrade.odf


under the rest of the fed ships.

Might I ask if there is a hardpoint map for this model, as well as the atlantis version? Just want to make sure I have the rail guns firing out at the right points, also trying to get the 302's to come out of the launch bays.
