The Constitution class is one of the most iconic ships in Star Trek. It was the first
starship, the one that set the trend for others and the rest of the shows and features
to be named Star Trek. This is my take on that starship. I've done my best to try make it
playable for all through LOD's and also provided 2 distinct texture sets.

Please note, there are 2 texture sets included in this modification.
The first is located within the normal Textures > RGB folder.
This first texture set is a bit more modern with aztec patterns and such
HOWEVER, for those purists that want the origional Constitution style with
no aztec pattern and no spotlights, such textures are contained within
the folder Alternative Textures > RGB. If you want these alternate textures.
After dragging and dropping every folder into your Armada II directory (so your
still putting the regular textures in). Then open Alternative Textures and drag all
of those files into your Armada II RGB folder. I hope this wasn't too complex
but I wanted purists and non-purists alike to enjoy this!

Drag and drop the contents of the ZIP file directly
into your Armada II directory to add the new files
to your game.

open your weapon.spr
in your sprites folder

under

@reference=512

put theese lines

If you can't find
@reference=512,
then add these lines instead:

under federation build buttons

This one gets a bit complicated to stay with me, this is for the new emitters included in the mod.
in your sprites folder open up emitter.spr
There are three sections to this file.
the
#texture definitions,
# sprite_node definitions
and the actual emitters.

now, for the first part.
under
#texture definitions and also under @refrence=128
add these lines:

gplasma xgrplas 0 0 32 32 @anim=tex4x4_smoke
wsteam xgsmoke 0 0 32 32 @anim=tex4x4_smoke

Okay thats it, all done that part!

5:
Go to your ODF folder in the base Armada II directory.
Proceed to the Stations folder.
Open the ODF of a shipyard of your choice
and add the Constitution to build there

(x representing the build item)

buildItemx = "Fconstitution"

6:
Go to the techtree folder in the Armada II directory.
Open tech1.tt
Look under federation ships
and put the following line:

Fconstitution.odf 2 fbase.odf fyard.odf

and after that all you have to do is sit back and enjoy :)

Amen to that, the bussards are the best I've ever seen...I've always tried to do that, guess you need MAX for that huh? Awesome work dude, 10/10

how do i open the weapon.spr and other .spr files to finish the mod. i would love to have this great ship but i cant figure it out.

You can find them in the sprites folder and they can be opened with Notepad :-)

If you need any further help getting her running feel free to post again :-)

Use notepad. Click on the weapons.spr or emitter.spr file and when it asks what program to use to open the file, select notepad. When done editing, be sure to save it as weapons.spr or emitter.spr and NOT use the .txt extention.

You too Wildcard :-) I did use max for this, I always do my A2 stuff in max as I don't understand a thing about milkshape :-)
