TOS Photons
This Mod changes the photon torpedos, the sound as well as the look, to what was used in the origional series! I think the Trekkies out there will enjoy this!
TOS photon mod by Beginner
This adds a TOS style photon torpedo to the game
Install instructions
place tosphot1 + tosphot1o into the odf/weapons/photons folder
place tosph into the sound/effects folder
add to a ship (e.g weaponX "tosphot1"
weaponHardpointsX "hpX" "hpX" ) where X is the weapon or hardpoint name
Note: this requires the original weapon.spr file
Note2: this works well with original series class ships (constitution, saladin etc)
Note3: this may need to be edited to compete with stock weaponry

Then it'll look like a photon torpedo. And since the TOS weapons were, to say the least, inconsistent in their appearance, it won't matter for canon purposes
