7th Fleet Command palette upgrade
This version upgrades the previous palette release, and contains:
- ALL Command buttons
- ALL Starfleet buttons (interface, special weapons, ships, stations, research)
- Everything from v1.0
Definitely worth a download. Gives new life to those boring old command buttons.
Okay ever since I created the first version,
I decide it needed some more work.
The rest of the command buttons have now been included. Some v1 have been enhanced,
and now ALL Starfleet special weapons are included.
After having done that, I said to myself "Why are all of the buildbuttons rusty plates of iron!?"
"That's not realy Star Trek concole design init?"
So inculuded as well are ALL Starfleet Buildbuttons (ships, stations, research). (The ones I use anyway)
Displayed as intended, IN SPACE. Some even in action.
Since my "Seventh Fleet MOD" will enhance the original storyline, do bot bother to look for ENT, TOS or FUT models.
Installation instructions:
Simply extract the file directly into the game main directory.
Almost all files will replace older ones, so make sure you have a backup.
Most of this MOD will work properly by just copying the files.
However:
In order to use the cloaking buttons provided you should do the following:
Open the gui_global.spr file, witch you can find in the Sprites directory of the game.
Look for this entry
# Special weapon buttons
@reference=64
@tmaterial=interface
Under this entry you will find these lines witch you sould delete,
b_grcloak gbcloak00 0 0 64 64
b_gkcloak gbcloak00 0 0 64 64
b_gccloak gbcloak00 0 0 64 64
And then replace them with these:
b_grcloak gbrcloak00 0 0 64 64
b_gkcloak gbkcloak00 0 0 64 64
b_gccloak gbccloak00 0 0 64 64
b_gfcloak gbfcloak00 0 0 64 64
Save and close the file.
Make sure you mention the cloaking devices correctly in your ship odf files.
When I complete the total conversion MOD "Seventh Fleet", ALL buttons will be included!
Enjoy, Franxoft Imports

Franxoft Imports have download this file and I think it definitly adds a lot to this game, would you be willing to upload you buttons as a template so that this community can customise the rest of our game.
Thank-you
Still: let it be clear in any crediting this was MY idea. I do not mind others buildin on it as long this is clear.
Furthermore: The 7th fleet is a Starfleet DominionWar veteran taskforce (mentioned by dr. Bashir in DS9 "A time to stand".
The storyline in my total conversion MOD "7th fleet" includes some elements of this fleet. (heroships, new voicework, advanced voiceprogramming, locations)
And virtually everything else witch I think is good on this site.
All to make a great game the, in my opinon, best game ever.
(does this answer your question?)
However, as Bashir said, 14 ships did made it back to "our" lines, out of 112.
Concidering how the USS Odessey was destroyed and what tactics the Jem'Haddar used against the Klingons in the battle of "Chin'Toka" it is more than reasonebale to assume the battle (as costly as it was) still was won!
There's a lot of work still to be done: Especially the voicerecording witch I am directing myself. Pretty much the same as I do on stage.
But thaks for the thumbs up.
