The term 'vestigial' means "stuff from before that is no longer useful". Like your appendix. Or the Borg Omega Particle Containment Facility, which turns up in A2 despite its absolute lack of purpose in being there.

Anyway, Firestorm603 has given us the means to access the aforementioned vestigial Collective station. So now you can build as many of 'em as you want. Best of all, the programming didn't change one bit between A1 and A2, so the shockwave looks pretty much the same once it's destroyed. Bonus.

Download this one if you hadn't already discovered this old stuff made new again.

Cool

The neccesary files for the Containment facility should actually already be in
your game, but in case they are not, i've included them here. After checking if they are there or not (if they aren't paste them in)
add this line to your gui_global:

b_bomega gbbomega 0 0 64 64

Add this line to your tech1:

bomega.odf 1 bresear.odf // Omega Particle Containment Facility

Add this line to your fulltech:

bomega.odf 0

Now add this line to the bconst.odf:

buildItemX = "bomega"

(X should be the next number up from the last build item)

And thats it. The Particle 010 Containment Facility doesn't serve an actual purpose but is a
nice addition to any borg base. It even has that pink wave seen in A1 when it is destroyed!

This isn't a created mod so it can be modified by anyone.

Like I said in the readme, the stuff you need for this SHOULD be in your game anyways but incase it wasn't, I included the needed files (cept textures) so this is more of a tutorial to get the station ingame rather than a new building. 8)
