FahreS has done it again. CompactClear 2.0 offers resolutions of both 16:9 and 16:10 to complement the older resolutions AND, best of all, now comes in colour!

Best GUI that I've seen in a long time. Get this one today!

Cool

2. Copy the files:

gui_fed.cfg

gui_kli.cfg
gui_cardassian.cfg

I: Every GUI has also 5:4, 16:9 and 16:10 versions, those are labeled with "5by4" etc.
If your monitor hasn't a 4:3 but one of the other three resoultions,
then copy the one which is labeled with your screen resolution and remove this label.

e.g.: If you own a 5:4 screen, copy "gui_<RASSE> 5by4.cfg" and
rename it to: "gui_<RASSE>.cfg"

in your Armada directory to "...\Activision\Star Trek Armada II\misc"
and replace the old files. You may backup the old files before replacing.

gui_federation.spr
gui_borg.spr

I: If hou have installed "Project Blue: Level 2",
use the files which are labeled with "PBL2" and remove this label.

very well done, fahreS. now could you please release a mod that supports 1440x900 and such resolutions? would tomorrow do? looking at the speed with that you throw great mods into here i expect no less than beating FLOPS in this matter.
#2 Achilles 2008-03-10 15:33
Fahres, why dont you make those buttons display smaller in the cfg file?
#3 FahreS 2008-03-10 16:56
@ameba, thanks and 1440x900 is supported with the 16:10 version (1440/16*10=900)

@Achilles, good question lol, I havent thought of changing their size

But in the 16:10 version the buttons dont overlap the cinematic view panel :-)

Wow. I generally download anything I see with FahreS name on it and this definitely won't be an exception.

Actually FahreS and fleetops aren't competing in turns of widescreen support, they are both simply trying to achieve it in different ways. Once fleetops has widescreen support added into the coding, we'll need GUI work such as FahreSs to fit with those resolutions.
