7rock2
The is an alternate version of the map 7rock. This version includes two asteroid belts with six wormholes which changes the way the 7rock map can be played. The Asteroid belts and the wormholes mean that the map is no longer an open space battleground which helps in defending you base. In correlation to 7rock, the four corner positions are still the easiest to defend but this time they are even easier as the asteroid belt cuts off your nearest opponent. The right and left centre positions are also much easier to defend as the only direct threat will come from the centre position and you can be sure the player there will be busy defending against the player at the other side. The centre position imo, is much more difficult as the asteroids have cut off the four corner positions from the left and right centres hence the centre position will undoubtedly get besieged from both the left and right centre positions. Also the wormholes add a bit of chaos as they are not uniformly placed on the map so deploying a few scouts to probe the wormholes' placement is a good start to conquering this map.
Cool map, but I like the first "open space" version

README.txt
7rock2 is a new 7 player map. To install, extract "7rock2.bmp", "7rock2.bzn" and "7rock2.txt" into the "bzn" subfolder inside the "Star Trek Aramada II" folder.
I release this map under the understanding that I am not liable for any issues it may cause. Essentially, you take your fate into your own hands, you have been warned. To ease your mind however, the map works fine for me. Also, if you use the map and/or it components in any form in a future release, this file or the contents within must be included.
If you find an issue, please let me know. Heck, if you know how to fix the issues you find, include that. I used the map editor that came with the original Star Trek Armada II release.
You can reach me via the forums at Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations (http://www.fleetops.net/). My username is Ntanel.
Tip: It will take trial and error to find out where the wormholes lead!
Thank you and ciao!
