One of the best Planet makers strikes again, this time with conversions of the planets in Starfleet Command 3.

Well, here it is.

These are the planets from SFC3. There's 20 of them, including Earth,
Romulus, Remus, Qonos, and a Borg planet.

These are lo-res, with 256 x 256 texture maps, and lightmaps.

These will be used in the upcoming mod 'Cold Front', which is based on
SFC2, but will use some elements from SFC3.

There are no future versions planned.

There will probably be no problem, but I do like to be asked first.
Thanks.

I love the quality in these planets..... BUT:

How the heck do you put them in game? I tried creating odf's for them that would make them appear in the mapedit menu, but when I put them in a map, the textures don't show up ( I just get a lovely all-white globe). wtf, man....

Okay it's simple to fix the textures. Simply put the following line in the odf groundTextureName = "(Name of Texture)".

If this fails to work then it's much more complicated

Copy the m class planet odf file. Rename it as whatever planet you want it to be and place it into the odf/Stations folder. Copy the m class planet texture and rename it the same name as the odf file. Copy the SFC3 texture and paste it onto your copied m-class texture. Then save it. When you save it make sure you have two of these files (for example "newtexture1.tga" & "newtexture2.tga&quot ;-)

Whatever you call the texture place the following line into your odf file

groundTextureName = "(Name of Texture)".

Example: Newtexture is just an example you can name it anything

RGB FOLDER

newtexture1.tga

newtexture2.tga

ODF FOLDER

newtexture.odf [ with the line "groundTextureName = "newtexture" in it]

SOD FOLDER

newtexture.sod {just copy PB_CLSSM.sod and rename it newtexture.sod]

 There have been 441 downloads of this file yet only 2 have complained about the lack of OPERATION of this particular Mod. What is up with the lack of proper instructions to how to operate and assimilate :borg: this Mod into Armada 2. Not all of us are supreme overlords of modding, some of us need a helping hand to get these things to work out. By the Way, student without a cause did extremely well to try and sort out the problem but unfortunaetly his/her guidelines to fixing it fell short. Will someone out there in the vast expanses of the Modding World fix this Mod please
