Don't you just love it when someone adds something from one game into another game even though the two games have NOTHING in common? Yeah... That's what this mod does. For all of you Xenosaga lovers out there, this one goes out to you.

If you really want to use this mod for some mod you're coming up with, go ahead and use it without my permission... I find it bothersome to go looking for people just to get permission to use something as simple as this. Credit has never hurt anyone before, either. >_>

This adds the Zohar artifact to Armada... It is capable of... well... floating there... in space... for long extended periods of time...
Doesn't do much. However you can make it do stuff by editing the .odf file or something...
--------------------------------------------------

FILES INCLUDED:
--------------------------------------------------
ODF:
zohar.odf
SOD:
Zohar.sod (Zohar.MS3D included)
TEXTURES:
Zohar.tga
--------------------------------------------------

INSTILLATION:
--------------------------------------------------
Pretty simple to install... Just add the folders (odf, SOD, & Textures) into the "Star Trek Armada II" folder.
This mod was made for use with a PATCHED version of Armada II... however it will probably work with the original Armada II.

In my opinion, while this looks just incredible, it should have some sort of special effect, like teleporting ships that go near it or something. Perhaps a special weapon could be made for this that would convert any ship that got too near it to another AI. Like if you were Fed. vs Kling. it would take over any of those ships and make them Borg or Cardassian or something.

I was considering giving it the Hilbert Effect or even the ability to summon a Gnosis from the other side (which would have required another sod. texture, etc. but would have been similar to the Cardassian Rift weapon). But I got lazy and decided just to leave it as is. It's suppose to be more of a joke than anything else.

When I place this in game no texture appears, it's all just... err... white! HELP ME!

In my view theres nothing thats meant as a joke unless it bares no relation to the game what so ever. Remember the ancient technological gate that the vorlons placed in hyperspace which was a link to Thirdspace?? Well this could have a similair effect of some sort, or open the map right up, or fire some sort of massively overpowered weapon. Theres a good few uses that this could be put to. Perhaps you could upgrade the mod to allow it to be a "collectible" technology upgrade for some fantastic ship, or perhaps a portal to allow ships from other realms, or a one way wormhole to any point on the map thats been "opened" up by exploration, or even to a hidden point which is asteroid encompassed. Another usage could be as a wide angled shield to encompass a large area, or have a point defence phaser that has a much greater range (imagine placing this in the middle of your base and it can take out every single torpedo thats fired before it hits any structures including artillery torps??), so perhaps its not as humorous as first believed. With regards to the model. It looks very good indeed. Textures suit very nicely.

The Zohar was in legend the greatest treasure of Mankind according to Xenosaga lore, as one of the lost treasures of God. It was discovered in 20XX in a lake in Africa(Forgot which one :P ) and soon caused the mass exodus of earth and was brought with the other treasures and soon ended up on the planet Abarxas or would later be called Mictham. The people of that planet would be called the people of the Zohar because they were the ones who brought the great treasure with them.

Anyway, thats the backstory for the Xenosaga ark, theres an ark for a different game called Xenogears that was a precursor to this one with characters that loosely tie to the Xenosaga characters.

In the Xenosaga ark, the Zohar had two proposes.

1. The main power source for Ω(Omega) and Ω Metempsychosis

2. They key to the Great Circle Zarathustra

Thats basically it's purpose and it's back story.
