Based on the well-known Bonaventure class design featured in the Ships of the Line calendar, the Solstice class updates the "centre line stardrive" concept for the Next Generation era. This is a nice effort by SciFiFan, based on stock Galaxy components, and the ms3d files are included if someone wants to take this design concept even further.

Cool

Hello, and thank you for downloading my first mod. This is the Solstice Class Starship. It was designed using the stock Galaxy model and designed reminessant of the Bonaventure class. It has many of the same properties as the Galaxy but, since it is just a bit smaller, it is just a bit cheaper. It does not have a texture as it shares the texture of the Galaxy class. I do hope you all enjoy it.

Included is the SOD, build button, wireframe, admiral's pic, and ODF.

To install.

Copy sod ( fsolstice.sod) to "Activision/Star Trek Armada II/SOD"

Copy build button (gbfsolstice) and wireframe to "Activision/Star Trek Armada II/Textures/RGB"

Copy ODF ( fsolstice.odf) to "Activision/Star Trek Armada II/ODF/Ships"

Copy admirals pic (fsolstice.bmp) to "Activision/Star Trek Armada II/bitmaps/AdmiralsLog/ShipImages"

Add the follwing line to whichever shipyard odf you want to build it.
buildItemx = "fsolstice" x = number of build item. (my advanced shipyard is 'builditem3 = "fsolstice"'

Add the following to the gui_global file in the "sprites" folder

Build button
after the last federaation build button uder the "@reference=64" tag
b_fsolstice gbfsolstice 0 0 64 64

wireframe
After the last federation wireframe enter:

fsolsticew1 fedwireframe10 0 0 48 48
fsolsticew2 fedwireframe10 48 0 48 48
fsolsticew3 fedwireframe10 96 0 48 48
fsolsticew4 fedwireframe10 144 0 48 48
fsolsticew5 fedwireframe10 192 0 48 48

I have also included the ms3d (milkshape) file for minor adjustments. Any one is free to create a texture that is solely for the Solstice if they like and release it with the new textures. Upgrades to weapons like adding a special weapon is also open for use. The only thing I ask is that if anyone wants to do a "refit" or "veriants" to please send me a pic of such mod for approval. I am sure that getting my approval will be easy as I have liked most of what I have seen. Obviously I would like credit where credit is due.
