Eagle class carrier (with fighters)
This is some awesome stuff from Aad Moerman. A new carrier (which bears a striking resemblance to the Sovereign) called the Eagle class, along with a new starfighter that looks like a tiny Defiant, and a new scout which looks one hell of a lot better than your stock Venture class.
One of the unfortunate oversights in this mod was a question of reference to the unofficial 1.2.5 patch available for download and whether or not it's required in order to use this mod. Given that there's a reference to "a total of 12 fighters", it might seem confusing. However, the carrier builds the fighters, and it's suggested that you only build twelve of them maximum. Using the honour system never really works in a war but in this case, you'll just have to make an exception. But the good news is that you do NOT require anything but stock A2 in order to use this ship and its fighters.
The new version of the Venture scout is particularly well-done, upgraded to a crew of nine and more in keeping with the scouts of other races in stock. And the fighter looks pretty awesome, too. It looks like a baby Defiant, just waiting to grow up and kick some serious butt.
Note that this model includes absolutely everything you need to work-- build buttons, wireframes, admirals' log pics, and nice textures-- for all three of the ships included.
This looks like the kind of mod we've all been looking forward to: a true carrier available without relying on the 1.2.5 content. Definitely download worthy.
Federation ships by Aad Moerman
This folder contains 3 ships. A strike carrier, the Eagle class, a strikefighter and a new scout.
I used the stock model of the scout as the strike fighter. So I needed a new scout, which is more fitting for her crew of nine.
The strike carrier has a total of 12 fighters. Although there is no limit to the number of units that can be build, I hope you
can restrain yourself at this point. It wouldn't be right, to see the fighters in such large numbers.
Make a backup of your existing files, just in case.
As allways, thanks to Wrath of Achilles for his Texture Tutorial and Major A Payne for his SodTutorial.
All meshes, textures, etc are by me.
Please note:
I cannot be hold responsible for any damage or problems otherwise regarding this model.
Thank you for downloading.
You may use this ship in your mod, just give credit where its do.
Enjoy!!

P.S. Resistance is futile, eh?
