new version of the sovereign complete with regenerative sheilds, yacht laucher special weapon and battle bridge section

Hello Bombomadil here with my new mod:
The Sovereign Refit v1.1

New in this version:
regenerative sheilds, yacht laucher special weapon
for the sovereign and battle bridge section

-----------------------------
Build Time: Along Time plus a while for this version
email: bombomadil@hotmail.com
homepage: N/A
-----------------------------

ok now for the install instructions:
step 1.
put the textures in the textures/RGB directory
put the odf's in their odf directory
put the sod's in the sod directory
put the bitmap's in the ship images/admiralslog/bitmaps
put the .h file in the a2 main directory

step 2.
you can put the gui_global.spr that came with this zip file in the sprites
directory or you can go to the gui_global.spr of the sprites directory
and scroll down to the special weapon bottons and
then put in the these lines instead of the lines for the galaxy seperation:
b_ggalintegrator gbsovsep 0 0 64 64
b_ggalseparator gbsovsep 0 0 64 64
b_gsovyacht gbsovy 0 0 64 64

now scroll down to the wireframes section and the wireframes for fbbridge and fsaucer
and replace them with these lines:
fsaucerw1 fwsovsep 0 48 48 48
fsaucerw2 fwsovsep 48 48 48 48
fsaucerw3 fwsovsep 96 48 48 48
fsaucerw4 fwsovsep 144 48 48 48
fsaucerw5 fwsovsep 192 48 48 48

fbbridgew1 fwsovsep 0 0 48 48
fbbridgew2 fwsovsep 48 0 48 48
fbbridgew3 fwsovsep 96 0 48 48
fbbridgew4 fwsovsep 144 0 48 48
fbbridgew5 fwsovsep 192 0 48 48

step 3.
go to your tech1.tt file of your techtree directory and put in this line:
gsovyacht.odf 0 //sovereign yacht launcher
or you can put the tech1 file in the techtree directory replacing the one thats there

step 4.
play the game and enjoy!

*note: on step 2 and 3 if you replace the files you will probably lose
already installed mods

how do i fix the out of memory get a biger swap file thing
#2 InterstellarMachine 2003-02-23 11:43
That message usually has nothing to do with swap files but rather it is likely that a quotation mark is missing in one of the .odf files. If this is the case, you have to open the .odf files with notepad and look for unpaired quotation marks.

If you could put an exe on this for some of us non modders I'd really appreaciate it. This looks really good i cant wait to try it!

I HAVE A QUESTION, LIKE I MAKE ME IF I DON'T WANT TO LOSE THE SEPARATION OF THE GALAXY, I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE TWO SEPARATIONS, WHERE I MODIFY, GUIDE ME IN THAT FILE TO ENTER WITHOUT THAT HAS TO MODIFY THOSE OF THE GALAXY CLass, TO NAME HIM WITH ANOTHER NAME, ETC.
#5 Kinetic_Penguins_LDR 2003-02-25 18:57
The separation is hardcoded-Galaxy or sovereign. Can't have both. If you want it your way, go to burger king.

I thought you could make another weapon for the Soveregin and Prometheus. Is this true, and why or why not?
#7 Kinetic_Penguins_LDR 2003-02-26 17:25
What happens to the best of my knowledge is that it changes the sods/odf for the Galaxy separation so that it turns into the ship you want when it's separated instead of the Galaxy saucer etc....if you try to separate a Galaxy in game (w/ prometheus MVAM, or this) it'll turn into the modded ship.

Doesn't the Yacht launch off the saucer section, not the stardrive?
#9 AdmiralQ 2003-03-19 09:16
How can it be thnat hard to have multiple seperating vessels? :o
#10 Lightbringer 2003-06-28 02:55
as the code for separation is hard coded into the game we cant touch it without violating the lisence agreement. therefore we can only have one ship with separation at a time, unless activison r nice sometime and give us the source code
