Sovereign Class - able to seperate! What else needs to be said? Even though this ain't cannon it still looks gooood!
Although you can't have this and the Prometheus seperate at the same time - source code stuff!

ok now for the install instructions:
step 1.
put the textures in the textures/RGB directory
put the odf's in their odf directory
put the sod's in the sod directory

step 2.
you can put the gui_global.spr that came with this zip file in the sprites
directory or you can go to the gui_global.spr of the sprites directory
and scroll down to the special weapon bottons and
then put in the these lines instead of the lines for the galaxy seperation:
b_ggalintegrator gbsovsep 0 0 64 64
b_ggalseparator gbsovsep 0 0 64 64

now scroll down to the wireframes section and the wireframes for fbbridge and fsaucer
and replace them with these lines:
fsaucerw1 fwsovsep 0 48 48 48
fsaucerw2 fwsovsep 48 48 48 48
fsaucerw3 fwsovsep 96 48 48 48
fsaucerw4 fwsovsep 144 48 48 48

You see, all ships can separate the saucer from the stardrive. Captain Kirk ordered Scotty to almost do so in TOS, but the ships of that time couldn't reintergrate. The ships that tested the saucer reintergration mode were the Cheyenne and Akira classes.


Ever wonder how the Refit Enterprise was built? The ship's original saucer was taken off and the new one was attached in drydock.


The only problem I found was that the battle bridge part of this ship was too skinny. If you look under the saucer, its more of a triangle shape where the saucer could separate. Other than that I would say this looks pretty good.

when I re-intergrated the ship it turns into a galaxy class

I always thought the Ent-E was capable of Saucer Separation... I mean if you lookit the blueprints from Insurrection, First Contact, and Nemisis, they all have the Docking Clamp right there...

in a book of WIlliam Shatner is written,that the ENterprise-E seperates.I know that this isn't canon,but wouldn't he look,whether it is able to seperate or not?

in "the Art of Star Trek" (a book that goes through the design of various things thru the ST eras) it DOSE mention that the Ent-E CAN seperate. i think it also mentioned that the scene was filmed, but lader cut (even from bounus features) due to time restrictions. so, sovie sepperation IS canon.
