A nice remodel and retexture of the original A2 Raven class (A.K.A. Colony Ship), by Captain Fingers Smile


S.S. Raven replacemet for colony ship

This is not a mod for armada 2 but does contain a model for armada 2!
there is no odf file, no wireframe. This is made as a replacement for the federation colony ship and is 692 polys!


This zip file contains the raven, two textures (High and low) with alpha channel, and a new build button.

put the sod in the sod directory and the two pictures in TEXTURES/RGB

There is only high res and low res included-remove low from low res texture and put into rgb to get working!

If you wish to use this model in your own mod you can! there would be little point in me making it otherwise!

All the modeling credits go to captain fingers (err thats me)

The texture was not entirely by me and based off a cgi model from sci-fi art .

she has 925 polys

that makes it sound like i retexture of the original sod, where as it is a was built by me over 3 hours!!

Thus the "Remodel." I meant you took the design of the original Raven, and modeled it yourself. :-)

I have found two bugs with this model:


1)fcolony.sod is spelt wrong (spelt as fcolany)

2)the sod is very very large, use scaleSod = 0.20

for a better size!


captain fingers really needs to test his models in game before submiting and not do it afterwards!

Did you know that the regular federation colony ship looks exactly like the USS Raven from VGR, now if you really wanted it to be a Raven class you could have just made a copy of the colony ship and take away its colonising properties and give it cheap weapons instead, besides that its a good mod-what you made.
