I didn't make the model but mod the Textures from Star Trek Armada II - Beginnings file. It work well, these ship are a bit unstop because of the special weapons!!
There should be more the the Terran Empire/mirror universe ship because the Federation looks weak!!

The file "fLimeJR.sod" put in C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada IISod folder
The file "fLimeJR.odf" put in C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada IIshipsodf folder
The file "paris1.tga" + "paris2.tga put in C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada IITexturesRGB folder

Then add flimejr.odf 0 it to C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada IItechtreetech1.tt

Then add flimejr.odf 0 it to C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada IItechtreefreetech.tt

Then add buildItemXX = "flimejr" it to C:Program FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada IIodfstationsfyard2.odf

Original model and textures by dinosaurJR; minor changes by Limon36 to create mirror universe version

no bug at all!!

So who made the original model as that person should have been credited for its creation??
#2 Limon36 2010-10-26 10:46
DinosaurJR made the original model, so he does get the credited for that part (.sod file), but the rest I made or mod! I mod the Textures by Adobe Photoshop Elements.

So what I would tend to ask is why didn't you include a credit to him for the original used assets?? I'm sure you would like the same credit if this is reused in another mod.

I agree with MAP, DinoJR should have been credited for no less than the Model, Textures and Rigging/Hardpoint of the model in your readme. It's a common practice (and a requirement) in the community to credit everyone involved in the mod, and before releasing getting their permission. Did you ask DinoJR for permission to re-release this edit?

I know for one if this was submitted at MSFC, neither Terra_Inc or myself would've uploaded it without the file having the appropriate credits and permissions.

ok, i see what you did there, used my mesh and texture, and edited the texture to make it a mirror universe paris class. Fair enough. Except you dont credit me in the read me. Im actually fairly ambivalent toward others using my stuff, i dont release a lot and i like to see what others make of my work. But it clearly states that if you want to use my work for ur own mod, credit me in the read me file. You didnt. Fair doos, when picked up on it you were honest and you dont take credit for the model. Just put it down to experience and remember for next time, either ask or credit the original author. Let it be known that i am not an unreasonable man, but if you do do this again with another author, they might not be so easy going.

sorry, im working on a cell phone here.. I would also like to see the read me updated with proper credit given to me for the model and original texture please. If not it should be removed, according to this sites anti plagurism (sp?) rules. Thanks!

#8 dinosaurJR 2010-11-11 03:34

#9 Limon36 2010-11-20 10:11
I try 2 time to fix it with put you in the read-me, but each time it doesn't work!

That's better - at least I got a mention in the readme :-)

Just a wee bit of advice, for next time (I really hope i haven't put you off modding for life :-) ) - read the release notes of the mod you want to modify - you will find important info in there...

Now that all this unpleasantness is dealt with - I wish you luck in your future modding, for a first mod release this is very good!

And thanks for downloading the original mod pack by me - your interest is much appreciated!

Keep on modding!
