INTRODUCTION

Hello, and thank you for downloading my third map pack. I became interested in making A2 maps because I have pretty much played all the ones which I like that are available. Chief_Chainsaw started a forum thread about large maps. The more I have play tested the maps I have made, the more I have come to agree with him and others about large maps being better maps. There are five and seven player maps in this pack and one six player map. I did these mostly because there are no five or seven player maps available I am aware of. Lighting is much darker on my maps than most people are accustomed to for a reason. Shadows are required to give any game object the appearance of mass. There are some beautiful custom ships out there and they deserve to look as good as their makers intended.

CONTENTS:

1) A ReadMe, which of course no one will bother reading.
2) Installation Instructions. These are provided for you to read AFTER you place this material ingame.
They will allow you to quickly and precisely pin point any errors you made during installation and tell you how to repair them.
3) A complete set of files for the following maps: Alacrity of Doubt(5), Futility of Mercy(6), Borg Borderlands(7), Cardassian Marches(7), Federation Phalanx(7), and Disquietude(7).

WHAT THIS MOD IS

A patch which contains everything needed to install and play the maps included within. These are set up for multiplayer, I think. Since I have only tested them via LAN, I do not know if they will work online.

WHAT THIS MOD IS NOT

Tested for compatability with either FLOPs or PP 1.2.5. My laptop cannot play FLOPs so I saw no sense in trying to test this map with these. I cannot answer ANY questions concerning this map and FLOPs or PP 1.2.5 because of this. If you want to try this map with FLOPs or PP1.2.5 you do so with the prior understanding I cannot help you with, nor be held accountable or responsible for, any problems which arise from combining or using this map with either of them.

The screenshots are from my personal install. I run a modified version of MU v2.0 because my lap top makes those ugly girly-man squealy noises whenever I try to run it set on full. I tried very hard to ensure I put nothing into this map pack which is specific to Yacuzza s brilliant piece of work or will corrupt your A2 install.

If the above statements mean you now dislike this, I am okay with this. I made these maps for me in the first place.

POTENTIAL PROBLEMS

This patch has not been tested for compatability with either PP1.2.5 or FLOPs. My laptop cannot play FLOPs so I saw little sense in checking this. I have Yacuzza s Tactical Assault and Achilles Art of War installed. I haven t yet run across any problems with either of these but I did not really push either install to the limits of the game engine either.

This map has been tested only against Instant Action vs. my laptop. I do not know if it will work in online Multiplayer. I accept no responsibility for your computer, disc, or application.
This mod was checked for viruses and completeness before upload. If it does not work correctly the first time, please go back and read the Installation Instructions. Then install this map again AFTER you read the Installation Instructions.
